Deliver rehabilitated homes, poinsettias to senior residents

Jamboree and URSG hand out poinsettias to seniors at Heritage Villas in Mission Viejo.

A few months ago, the team from United Renovations Specialty Group (URSG) was wearing hardhats as they worked to renovate Heritage Villas – one of only two senior affordable properties in Mission Viejo. Today they went back wearing Santa hats to deliver nearly 150 poinsettias to every senior resident living there.

As part of Jamboree’s Blankets, Books & Blooms Drive, URSG made a generous donation towards the purchase of “blooms” – poinsettias for seniors living in our communities. Their donation made it possible for Jamboree to provide the festive plants to every one of the 790 seniors living at our six SoCal properties. Here’s a message from these Santas in action.

Because we’re committed to helping our residents thrive and keep our properties well maintained, we take extra care in the renovation of our apartments, especially for seniors who are comforted by the stability of routine. The average unit takes five days to rehab, so residents must be out of their unit from 8am to 5pm every day for five days.  But, they are able to sleep in their own beds each night. URSG was selected as the partner on this rehab because they were proactive and responsive, willing and able to perform an age-in-place rehab, and do it with a highly competitive bid. As a partner, they are comprehensive, efficient, and cost-effective.

URSG also served as general contractor on the rehabs at both Miracle Terrace and Monte Vista Gardens, two other joint venture developments with Community Preservation Partners, the development arm of WNC & Associates. A grand re-opening is slated for Thursday, February 1 to showcase the Miracle Terrace renovation.

You can join URSG in bringing joy this Christmas season by making a donation to our Blankets, Books & Blooms Drive, providing warm blankets to our residents and families, and books for our community centers. Give now!
