Heroes Landing (previously called Santa Ana Veterans Village ) is a stable home with ongoing veteran-specific services so our veterans can live independently and thrive in Orange County. Located in Santa Ana, CA, Heroes Landing is Jamboree’s first property exclusively for veterans, providing both permanent housing and supportive services. In collaboration with the City of Santa Ana, the Veterans Administration (VA), and other leading veterans service organizations, this community is a sanctuary of stability and a hub of hope for some of Orange County’s most vulnerable veterans.
The U-shaped, three-story, elevatored, furnished apartment community is a warm and welcoming contemporary interpretation of Spanish-revival architecture, with characteristic stucco walls, colorful tile accents, arches and ornamental ironwork. It opens onto a spacious courtyard and nearly 10,000 square feet of active open space – including a community garden and tranquil reflection walk, and a bike rack uniquely commissioned as a piece of art.
The 4,500-square-foot community center is home to the Veterans Services Collaborative, Jamboree’s innovative approach to community impact designed to bring together – in one place – some of Orange County’s leading veterans service agencies to support residents as well as veterans throughout the county. These include immediate access to services such as mental health counseling and wellness services, pro bono legal assistance, and educational and employment opportunities through the Heroes Landing Community Collaborative, including such partners as:
The outdoor recreation area has barbecue/dining areas, a dog run, and a basketball half-court. Within one mile of Newhope Library, Heroes Landing is walking distance to a park, shopping, medical services, employment opportunities, and transportation.
